The Story

In the first few months after moving to San Francisco bay area from Russia I was completely disoriented. Not just I did not have friends, but I could not figure out where to find my favorite food. I tried searching on Google but most of the results were not on target. I read Russian forums and community websites, but people there were mostly talking about San Francisco restaurants, which was not too helpful for me either – living in East bay without a car.

Over the past few years I discovered some Russian supermarkets and got to try a couple of restaurants in the area as well as in other locations. I have created this website to help others to find Russian food whenever and wherever desired. It would be great if you shared your thoughts about the restaurants and stores I review here, using star ratings and comments. If you know of a good supermarket or restaurant that I have not added yet, please let me know.
