According to Yelp.com reviews this place is famous for Hungarian salami, poppy rolls, meats, and halva. It is a European supermarket in San Mateo located on El Camino between 22nd and 23rd avenues. This store also has some other Russian goodies like books, magazines, and movies.

Beware of expired foods and foods with no expiration date. I would say avoid this store.

This store doesn’t have a very good selection. Their “service” was horrible even for me and I’m Russian! Avoid this store. Try World Market on Geary instead – much better selection and better service.

I recently visited this store after a russian coworker recommended i try red caviar. The service was great, a young man explained to me the different sorts of caviar and even gave me samples of the caviar before i bought it.
